Saanidhya
Bridging Generations. Building Connections
The Presence Project
India has over 15 crore elders, and a growing number of them are ageing alone, unseen, and unsupported. Studies show that nearly 1 in 3 seniors experiences loneliness in India.
In a country built on family, too many elders are left without one.
Saanidhya was created to change this—by bringing young hearts to the elders who need presence, companionship, dignity, and care the most.

What do we do at Saanidhya?
This is not a charity project. It is shared humanity.
Saanidhya is our presence project.
A movement where young volunteers stand up for elders who once held families, communities, and worlds together.
Companionship Visits and Celebrations
Weekly and monthly visits to old age homes to spend time, talk, play games, listen, and simply be there.
Emotional Support & Presence
We share conversations, laughter, celebrations, and even silence — giving elders a safe space to express loneliness and grief.

Skill Sharing & Activities
Music, storytelling, yoga, dance, reading circles, art, and simple creative projects that bring joy.
Learning From and Respecting Their Wisdom
We document and share life lessons, stories, memories, and insights elders offer — preserving them like treasures.
Skill Sharing & Joyful Sessions
At Saanidhya, we believe learning has no age and joy has no boundaries. Our volunteers share simple, uplifting sessions with elders: yoga for gentle movement, music for nostalgia, dance for lightness, and creative activities that bring smiles and connection.
These moments aren’t about performance; they’re about presence .
Celebrating Festivals Together
In our culture, festivals truly begin with an elder’s blessings — that gentle hand on the head, that smile, that warmth. Yet many elders today celebrate in silence, without family or companionship. At Saanidhya, we bring that tradition back by celebrating every festival with them — sharing rituals, sweets, conversations, and joy. Because celebrations feel complete only when generations come together.
The Greater Celebration
The most unique and thoughtful way to celebrate your special occasions. On your special day, sponsor a meal for an old-age home, spend time with them, and make it special.
Our team will assist you in making the necessary arrangements, send you photos and videos, and keep you involved through live calls if you are unable to attend in person.
Through The Greater Celebration, we’ve turned birthdays into unforgettable moments. For them, it’s more than cake—it’s a reminder that they matter.
