Fight Against Cancer
According to a report by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the estimated number of new cancer cases in India is expected to rise to 1.73 million in 2025 and 2.25 million by 2035.
In terms of cancer mortality, India ranks third in the world, following China and the United States.
Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable deaths in India and is responsible for nearly one in four cancer deaths.
In rural India, cervical cancer is the most common cancer among women, while in urban areas, breast cancer is the most common.
The five-year survival rate for cancer in India is less than 50%, which is much lower than that in developed countries.
We have pledged to support the treatment, survivorship, and rehabilitation of 10 cancer patients by 2023.
